Japan Seismic Isolation Laboratory (JSIL) was established in April 2021 to operate the world’s first dynamic testing machine equipped with a high-precision load measurement mechanism, with the aim of building a full-scale seismic isolation testing facility. The foundation promotes effective utilization of this full-scale dynamic testing facility and works to ensure the reliable quality of increasingly large seismic isolation and vibration control components. In addition, through extensive use of the facility, the foundation is committed to developing a world-class research and education hub for seismic isolation and vibration control structures.
